Music Box Project

Empowering young people through music

In April 2016, Bolney Meadow Community Centre was successful in attracting £9.7K grant funding for a music technology room in the community centre. The funding was provided by the Evening Standard Dispossessed Fund and administered by the London Community Foundation.

The aim of the Music Box Project is to teach at least thirty 13 to 19 year olds music technology within a 12 month period. After months of planning the music room is now running and BMCCCIC appointed two part-time Junior Music Technicians (Sam Wilkinson and Frank Kennedy) to work with the young people in developing their music skills. Going forward, we will continue to work with community organisations looking to enhance young peoples creativity through music.
